"The 2.6 right now is 3.0 undercover."

LOL My truck does just fine. Drive it in drive it out.

Well thats just a pi$$ poor attitude. You scared to break? That why you want to limit the power? Cant afford a trailer? I'm sure we would take up a collection for you to buy one if you promised to quit *****in!

Not saying I can't afford a trailor but I have a family that comes first. If you guys want to donate one I'll take it.

na mechanic likes to bich at people who threaten him hel find out next yr when i bring a roller engine and a sigma in his class ill give um somthing to cry about

i wish some of you ohio boys would come to newcenterville and show um how its done everyone thinks their a dam hero around here

o $hit thats 2 465's now what time to outlaw a $500 turbo?

Sleddy once told me, "beware of a properly set up small turbo truck." How true.

If those are truly box stock 465s, a) I'm impressed and b) Kevin's argument kinda just went up in smoke.

LOL Hearn building another engine since he got his ass handed to him by some street trucks. *nx*

I would still believe it would be easier to take the MWE groove away to replicate the function of a restrictor plate.

I agree it would definately be worth a shot at testing. This was actually brought up when we decided to go 2.6" a few years ago. I know I and a few others would much rather see this than a restrictor plate. I'd still like somebody to throw on a 2.5" charger with or without protrusion & see what that does to a current 2.6" truck.

To those bickering, qualifying does not mean you have a top truck. I know of some 465's running very good in the class as well, but finishing in the top 5 at a national event such as SDX/TS and qualifying at a national event are far from the same.

When testing a engine on a dyno to compare hp with and with out a mwe groove could you just plug the groove with a bushing or would it be best to use a smoothbore compressor cover.

MWE is behind the tips, not sure how you would be able to put a bushing in. Easiest thing would be to plug the area outside the MWE with something(silicon, etc) Just don't let air into the turbo via the MWE.

Thats what i was meaning just something to plug it or if it would be easier to use a smoothbore cover.

Certainly possible. But doing that requires weld and machine, right?

Restrictor plate hopefully could be a drop in.

I dunno.

No mwe groove just requires a different compressor cover. Many tractor class run turbos with no mwe groove(smoothbore).

Not always.

True, most MWE's. LOL I would say if it isn't behind the tips or even with them, it really isn't an MWE, it is just an aid to get more air in there. Which might be eliminated by the OEM MWE.
