Dually spacer

What about a spacer to run duall 16 inch rims on a 80 single wheel drum brake axle. I allready have the duall rims and 2 inch spacer then aluminum wheel so i just need the spacer to allow the inside rim clear the brake drum. Can anyone help me out here?

I think that should do it. Some run a spacer between rims also.

My spacer goes between the rims. You put the inside steel rim on the studs then my spacer with lugnuts and tighten it down. Then there is a seperate set of bigger studs offset from the factory studs and the outside aluminum wheel goes on. I ran them on my dually before sold it. I basically need a spacer to allow the inside rim to clear.

Tim the inside spacer will work fine thats how mine is.

I thought you were asking, what was needed. An inner spacer is usually needed to clear the brakes, the outer spacer isn't always neccessary, depending on backspacing and tire size. I had 285 with no spacer between them. They rubbed, I would not run them on the street.

Will a 2" spacer allow the clearance? Where are guys getting them at?

I have seen them on ebay, I can't comment on if 2" is enough, I think some have put 2.5".

I know glover has 24 lug nuts per rear side!

Ok I'm lost :what: :what: :what:

Are you guys talking about running 2 actually DUALLY rims, or a dually rim and one SRW style wheel?

Wondering because I bought 4 older 4 hole style dually wheels over the winter because I got them cheap ( less than $100 for 4). Well I ended up being given a set of SRW wheels & tires so I used them this year. I did however hold one of my dually rims up to my rear axle one day and it just did not seem like even a 2" spacer will take up the gap between the brake drum & the wheel?

Im gonna go to my machine shop guy and have him make me a set of 2 1/4 spacers..

Thats a bunch of lugnuts. I though mine were a pain in the ass.

Im wanting to run 4 actual dual rims. One factory steel and one aftermarket aluminum. To run a single wheel on the inside it would have to be a flat center not one with taper cone lug nuts cause the next spacer wouldnt set flat against it.

Nope just 16 per side for me. I have a 5/16" spacer then a steel dually rim held on by a 2" spacer then the outer aluminum dually rim. I am running 33x13.5x16 STS's

5/16, that seems pretty thin. Is this on a d80 drum brake axle? When i took a stock dually rim and held it up and without measuring i was guessing it would take a 2in spacer to clear the drum. I thought about just taking the rear brakes off but it is in scheids rules to have all brakes working.

Make it a little easier for everybody to see. ;)
