Confirmed by TS Performance

Cool! Not sure if Brad is still interested in trying it, but until that rule was clarified for the FL race we were discussing it. There was a truck here from Ohio with over 1700 lbs of extra weight to make the 6000 lbs!!! We'd need even more with DirtyMax, and would have to get creative to make it NHRA legal, but it might be doable! I personally think a backhalf 2WD CR truck is the ticket for this class, but I've been wrong before!

Dennis - you should have been here at least for the spectating and drinking!

Just make sure it is on #2 only. I could do the same with Caged Fury but it was built for ProStreet and that is where it will stay. We will probably concider building a truck for Super Stock but it is not in the works yet. My main concern is trying to get drag racing back on track and help build classes for the racers. This class is what is needed to start this project.

me likey.

I guess there's no way I can jump out of this class. Looks like I'm gonna spend the next couple months putting my truck on a diet. Hopefully we won't have to take it all off in a hour:Cheer:

I'm very glad to hear this, a class like this makes a huge amount of sense since it brings chassis and engine tuning to the forefront a lot more!

It's also going to mean all the really fast winning trucks must run sans hood and bumpers!

I believe until a 2x4 continuely beats the fast 4x4's in NHRDA super street or the outlaw pro street trucks, the 4x4 will win. 6,000lb rules and I see the advantage to the 4x4's.

I would like to see Brian Carter or Stuckeys truck in this class. I think they could give those 4x4 all they could handle. The 4x4 shined this year cause thats all there were. I'm no drag racer but I think a 2x4 is the ticket in this class. I would really like to see it go to a true 66mm charger. I think that will bring even more in. Then you can have that big payout yet again and I wouldnt think you would have any problems get a 100 truck field.

Look at how many 4x4s there are versus 2wd. I think a good setup 2wd would be very competitive.

Is anyone else going to allow dancos as well?

How many people drive a Danco on the street. This will kill the class and in no way promote it. The average guy who wants to race his daily driver will not have a chance. A torque converter is like another limit. It will only take so much until it starts to fail.

I am not trying to be the bad guy I just hate to see it turn into pro street

X2...No Danco's or Lenco's. That will flat out ruin it.

I do agree. Those trucks have a class. The whole purpose of this class is to get the quantity of trucks back into the sport so they can also have fun and be competitive. I see no reason to allow lenco's. It will defeat the purpose of the class. Not only that, it could possible ruin the super street class. With the potential that TS has with the quantity of people that will be there. There is an opportunity to have a big payout for these guys without doing anything special. The trucks will enter if the rules are right.

Jeff and Gary, congrats on the success of the race. Wish I could have been there!

I like this class. I've been waiting for the sport to grow enough to have a spec'ed class like this. I think it's a nice fit between existing classes and I wouldn't change it.

Pro Street was supposed to be a street class. We all see what it is now.

Quick Diesel was supposed to be a class for fast daily drivers with limits so no cage was required.

Bracket was for everyone else.

One thing I can say for sure is that from the beginning everyone is always wanting rules changed or modified. Solid unchanging rules will help the class grow. At this point, I also believe OEM tranny's should be required.

Great job guys! :Cheer:

^agreed I am very interested in this class after seeing that these trucks can do down in fl.

You can run a hardblok engine in this class right?

It's ok if it has a billet block & head correct?

No need for OEM tranny then I guess no need for OEM engine/head
