i have a couple friends with cats that are looking for more hp, one 550 and one 625.. where should i send them?
If it's an Acert aftermarket is the only way to go. If it's an older Cat then there are some good factory Cat files that will make them run good. I've got a 7CZ 600 file with bumped timing that I've heard will dyno within 25hp of a PDI tune. There are brakesaver files that run good too they're about 50hp more than the standard file and are usually 2300rpm.

There are just no good factory files for an Acert, especially for a 625. PDI dealer here has spare tuned ECM's if they want to core theirs. There is no comparison between a stock and a tuned Acert, you will swear it's a different truck.

FWIW There are marine flash files for a C12 all the way to 705HP. So yea, the motor it's self will handle a lot. :ft:

Weak sauce. LoL. I found an 07 ISX I might try to buy. It was a company truck so they speced it with a direct drive trans and 2.64 rears. IF I'd swap an OO trans in let's just say 80 is where it gets started.

2900@85mph I meant lol. That would be way bad. 3.55 rears on lowpro 22.5 rubber with an 18 double over.

What mountain did you drop that thing off of to get it to turn 2900rpm. Hell my K100 would be at 96mph at that rpm with 4.33 rears.

Yea with 3.55s and an 18 OO you should be doin WAY more than 85 at 2900. With a single .73 OD and 3.73s I'm doin 100 at 2150 rpm.

I think if you have a RTLO tranny that has the B gear set it is technically a double over, and the older transmissions that were RTOO's had three over drives.

Yeah its an RTLO trans, I haven't seen a true OO in a long time. I'm gonna do a little more digging on it but I'm pretty damn sure its got 3.55 rears
