Efi tuning for 03 cummins

Thanks for posting the video Les, this is the repinned 03-05 harness running a 06 ecm. STROKETHISF350 - your posistion is the same as mine this is the harness ill be using. Will be verifying EFILIVE communicates this weekend

Let me know what you find, my guess is it should be very easy to make work with the painless harness considering its already set up to run the 04.5 apps pedal

There are 20+ pins locations that where moved, I add sensor grounds and removed the 14 pin intermediate connector on the OEM 05 harness. It starts, it runs, and we did a small EFILIVE log last night. It would be just as "simple" if you repined your painless.

The apps pedal was "national back order" at Chrysler but I received delivery within 5 days. Go figure

Do you have a better pin removal tool than that junk plastic ones. When I repinned my original harness I went through 20 of those. That project got scrapped due to some unrelated modifications and I figured sci would be out by the time I was done. Fast forward a year and its still not here. I just got mine running with 06 electronics and that was much easier. My only gripe is my truck does not have connector c130 like I believe 04.5 up has so it was slightly more difficult to locate circuits. End rant.

Dominant node meaning it is Protocol initiator?
We add the terminating resistors to cat bypass harnesses to allow J1939 on the bench. Not A big deal. Good information to hear though.
I had a friend asking these very questions this morning.
So to clarify, the 06 ecm is replacing the 03 outright with just a Harness Repin and throttle sensor added?

Where is the information for pin locations found? Just using two FSM's?

correct statement. when we talk about the CAN-C buss communication its actually J2248? 45? because there smart devices they placed the correct terminating resistor in the componet.

Gauges are alive but dont respond. didnt relize that the gagues where CAN B .... its almost not ledgable on the internet print.
Leads the next question.. ill post when i have more answers.. let the digging begin.

I assume for this to work properly that a TTVA has to be added in an auto application?

unless you rig up a transmission linkage. ive currently have my 47 at a fab shop getting threaded bungs tig welded to the case for the TTVA motor.

Ran in to problems due to communication differences between the dash and engine. Was able to wire the dash and perform the functionality check verifying operation but tach, voltage, or CEL was not functional during idle.

Talked with a communication engineer from AT&T and Software Support Specialist for a local software company some information. No luck.. Apples to oranges tho. Still digging in my free time.
