Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Couple things from Facebook, one funny, one not. Although the lady butterfly doesn't have the Detroit in it anymore.

Anyone every have a kw steering column apart? Mine needs a new unjoint..... doesn’t look replaceable. And the telescopic part has some wiggle to it as well. I don’t use it.

Westbound close to Sikeston Mo this morning.

For some reason they didn’t have a single axle, cabover Volvo hooked to it.

The kind of weight it’s intended to haul, I figured it surely wouldn’t have a good old American truck hooked to it.

Got u joint out and found one that’ll fit and put back together. Also 2 bearings in there but they were fine.

On another note. Anyone tried or thought of trying to change kw side windows to full window instead of having bent windows? Without installing daylight doors.

So with hours of service rules lifted, and states like mine raising weight limits. Some big airports (McCarran in Vegas, Midway in Chicago) have temporarily closed control towers and pilots just self report positions and intentions.

Where are all the news stories of millions of crashes and deaths due to less government regulations? Weren’t we told the only things keeping the roads safe was the new hours enforced by E-Logs? Odd.

How would you notice?

Good point. I know of several carriers that have gone to online Orientation during the pandemic....... As if it wasn't hard enough to get folks attention sitting in front of you.

Powers at be will say its due to lower traffic on the roads and in the skies. In 18 mos when Fauci and Birx say we can go to work again thos rules will be implimented with even more force.
Oddly enough if its mostly truck traffic on the road still and accidents are effectively non-existent. As soon as cars start runnin around agaon and theres wrecks, it'll still be the trucks fault

I've been wondering if the climate scientists have been tracking greenhouse gas emissions since the traffic on the highway and skies have been slacking. I wonder if we would get the truth.

Well, the same people that do the climate models probably did the Covid models......

My sister in law works at a large frozen food producer. She used to check the trucks in and process paperwork. Said they had to put a large window A/C unit in the wall to pressurize the office so the air would blow out of the small check in window. When some of these nasty drivers would walk to get bills it smelled like red lobster dumpster in July.

These are all door slammers that only break a sweat walking to the back of the trailer. I mean if your hand tarping a flatbed in Alabama or covered in Kevlar in a steel mill I’ll give you a pass, as long as your next stop is a shower.

It’s just not that hard to not be a dirtbag.

Trucks and anyone involved with them, are idiots. For the record

My dad and I got in an argument over this. He thinks hos and elogs will permanently have the reigns pulled in because of this, and I agree it should. Realistically I think the regs will continue to get worse when they decide to open the country back up.
