Quickest 1st gen?

Were hoping to get our 1st gen out for the first time tonight and see how she does, was planning on it last week but found a issue in the shifting of the new tranny. We got a full manual in it now and hoping to see how it shifts later, if its ok we will mount up the 33/14/15's and go check it out.
 
No good news on the 1st gen project, broke a axle on the first pass, first foot.. hes got good stuff comming now. The 28 spline ford stuff didnt cut the mustard.

Were just running a built up 518a in the VE pumped truck, i run a TH400 in my P-pumped 12v my 400 is def. stronger than the 4 spd. dodge unit.


What do you have thats close to 1000hp?
 
Been down a $20-25k road twice now with a 600 horse PSD, making the change to a p-pumped 12v.

Destroking, I can throw all the rods I want this way and not break the bank...
 
BTW, where'd the plate/adapter come from for the turbo 400?

I've got a BTS that'll hold it's own but I want away from the electronics...

Look up destroked.com Great parts, super quality IMO, thier pricey for sure but prob. worth the money for what ya get. Get the adaptor, flexplate, and 6L ford starter.

Tom Collins (tcs91) just ran a 12.66 at the truck drags in Sacramento today, I think we have a winner!

thanks everyone . it felt real fast. i had a 67 442 and ran the 68 season. 2 sponsors. ran top stock on a 12.92 ntl rec. best time was 12.85. could win most of the time against the factory guys. now my diesel daily driver is faster and gets 20 mpg. it's just plain nuts!!!!:Cheer:
 
hey no problem, I'll help out a first genner anytime! I got video when we raced and you ran the 12.66, it's not very good but I'll get it on here.

Looks like your having some fun Tom. When I talked with Brad that was one of the first things that I asked him. How did Tom do? He told me that you ran a 12.66. Congrats that is awesome. Dang I wish my old toad went that fast. If you ever make it up again let me know. I still might have a few tricks up my sleve to make that thing go even faster.
