I heard that the "2.6 Street diesel class will be randomly taking Some of the winners at events and making them take a 20 mile road trip after the pull? If so I think its a good idea to keep the trucks competitive and street legal...Drag racing does it why can't truck pullers do it....Just want to clairify the rumor up. Thanks, Eric

I would like to know how they will enforce it considering Duramaxes can de-tune with a laptop.

this would be dumb....on mine i can flip a switch and make it back to a stock tune. dodge guys cant do that. if this is the case they will lose tons of pullers and it would not even be a fun class anymore

I doubt they are going to do this, but if they do I guess I am glad I still have a POS VP motor...

:hehe::hehe::hehe: Yeah, can we ask that they pour water in their fuel and yell "oh Mamma" out the window at every stop light! It's official!!!!LOLLOLLOL

Better yet! You have to be wearing only assless chaps while driving the 20 miles - nothing else - you first ECC!:hehe::hehe::hehe:

I do this no matter what the circumstances I can really feel the SOP meter using this method.....

trying to figure out how this is going to keep things competitive, if the charger is checked for size, what does it matter? as long as the truck meets all the requirements I think the class will stay competitive. Just my $.02

im guessing it has more to do with "street" class and not purpose built "dedicated" pullers. anyone want to go for a 20mi beer run with a filled block?

I thought this was brought up awhile back that the 2.6 class isn't really a street class anymore?? I don't care either way really, the thing it would kill the most is the p pump guys! All in all talk about a waste of time! 20 mile road trip with the top 3 trucks? Thats a good hour of wasted time!

I think this is the best thing these guys have come up with yet. Its not really the tune that their concerned about, its that these trucks arent even in condition to go up and down the road such as minimal tire clearance and a filled block. But just assuming?

Bingo...

U are telling me that this is all based on tires rubbing or a filled block? I would be more than happy to pull my radiator hose as long as u put your face on the receiving end and kiss your ass when u can go to a pull where u find no ones tires rubbing.......

Well Im not going to stick my face anywhere. But will be more than glad to recommend you for the test drive. This rule was put in to keep the purpose built pullers out of what is supposed to be a street legal class. I personally dont care what you guys all do. Im getting tired of all the f@#king crying anyway.
