Did that run happen to be in the right lane? The timer wasn't sorking correctly in that lane Saturday and they didn't figure it out for a while. I thought I had made my quickest fuel only passes to date too.

Turns out that smoke wasn't coming from the trans, it was from my ccv.:banghead: Bting the bullet now and doing a full build. At least I know why it was gradually slowing down more and more now. LOL

I had an awesome time at the event as usual, even with all the small bugs they ran into. It's always a blast hanging out with all my diesel buddies no matter what happens at the track. :D

I'd like to see another event there. The facility was really nice and it's pretty centrally located for a lot of people.

.

Yes it was the right lane. Talked to them in the both, cause they were the only ones with my slip after crash. I questioned my slip cause of it saying 27 mph at the traps. They said MPH was reading out minus one digit on some passes. My slip says 27 mph, instead of 127. This was at 11:00 PM on Friday. Hell you might have had your fastest fuel pass the air was great.

my 11.56 was at 77mph??? i could see it being 117.7 mph, but not 177mph! lol im not goona claim that 11.5. but i might be claiming an 11.5 at baytown this weekend, if i can get it to hook up

I had a great time, very, very nice facilities, I really want to see another race or three there, the bathrooms are a nicer than at my house!

Good to see some old friends and make some new ones, even if some of them seem to have a bird fixation :poke:

It really does seem to me the brand wars are going away. Hell, I think I hung out more with the Cummins guys than I did Ford peeps. (John R, Roskoe, Billy, school bus etc....)

It's a good thing too, what with you showing up in a Geo :shake:

Can't wait till the next one!

Scott only you could do 177 mph in a school bus. LOL That time was for the win and trophy for you right? How can you not claim that? This was the 1st I heard of clock issues except my mph.

they where having issues friday, for the first couple of hours we where there the right lane wasn't giving speeds. I think some rain water got in the system and shorted something out.

Only problem i see with the bus claiming the 177, is somebody might ask to back it up :badidea:

Heard a bunch of stories as to why the speeds were off, most believable is rats getting to the wiring or fiber optics. Most of my runs seemed to be correct on ET, but not MPH in the RH lane. I never made a pass in the left lane but it seemed to be correct all day.

Scott, look at all the times on your left lane tickets and compare them to the 11.5 run. That's how I found out mine were wrong. Every time (except the final ET) was the same or slower as the slower passes I made in the left hand lane.

.

I checked my slips and the right lane was pretty far off on the ET. I have well over a 100 passes on my setup and I was right on in the left lane and at least .3 faster in the right lane than I have ever been in my truck. I raced the finals in the right lane only and it did not change from being off all day.

I think I have one slip that says I went 308mph in the right lane!

Could it be that your times where faster due to the cooler air temps? Just a thought! My buddy ran a car and bike in both lanes on friday night. The times seemed to be consistent in both lanes, but the speed was way off in the right lane. I think he ran a low 11 in right lane on his bike and the speed was 77 mph. Left lane ran 10.5 at 136-138 mph.
