lets see pics of traction bars

Is there a reason you are using both bushings and the ballistic ends? could you just use both bushings? and is just one bar per side enough or should they b more of a ladder bar? i know you said it is just for your tow rig so didnt know.

Hey guys...referencing House's pictures in post #2, what kind of rod ends are those and where can I find them?

Help a newbie puller please! :thankyou2:

they look like suspension links for a medium or heavy duty truck.

Garrett

look like control arm for semi trailers. Any fleetpride should carry them but they're rather pricey.

I traded the two joints back in for two bushings and received the 4” lower axle brackets. I can say this much, Ballistics customer service has been phenomenal.

I am getting the pulling truck ready for an event in a couple of weeks so I won’t have much time in the immediate future to get these completed.

ok have seen tons of pics and talk about traction bars for sled pulls but what about us that drag race what are the best to have i have heard cal tracs are the way to go or to 4-link it what are your thoughts and where are some 4-link kits that work with our trucks to be gotten at i have a 01 dodge 4x4 and can not find anything thanks

Short traction bars like cal tracs, or a 4 link setup would be best for drag racing, from what I've been told anyway....

Short bars plant the rear better for the launch.... I have been considering building a short set for my truck just for drag racing... but I haven't tried out my long ones on the drag track yet... and I don't have the power to have a real traction problem yet anyway...

You were 1st in line at springfield weren't you ? I seen them bend. I'd say 60" of 2" x 1/4" wall or 5/16 wall if you can find it.

Yup. First in line. I ended cutting out 2 feet to get the bow out. They are even better shorter. Guess I'll find out how sturdy they are this year.

Fixing to start on some new bars before season starts, 3/4'' joints from ballistic. Gonna make them in a tri angulated set up. Will post up pics when i start on them

Well raining all weekend here so I didn't get any work done on the puller. I did head out to the Motor Pool at the base and get some more work done on the traction bars. I just need to drop the bars off at the powder coating place (red to match the truck color) and pick up some grade 8 hardware then I am done.

I'm in the same situation - looking for something for occasional drag racing that won't interfere with normal towing/hauling. Caltracs just responded that they would make a set for my truck for $369 + $50 for U-bolts. Has anyone tried those?
