lets see pics of traction bars

you said 2" ID and 2.375" OD in your first post, thats a 3/16" wall...if its really a 3/8" wall then it will be 1.625" ID. If its 3/8" wall not 3/16" i think you will be ok.

opps, i forgot to divide it by two. my bad.

Just got mine finished tonight. Made them out of 2x2x1/4 square tubing with a solid mount in the rear.

finally got my traction bars done and on with the help of the wifes grandpa. He was the welder and the fabricator and I was the installer. Front brackets are 1/4 tig welded and the back plates are 3/4 with 3/8 brackets. The tubing is 2 inch i think cold rolled with 1/4 wall. Bars are about 64 inch's tip to tip. Let me know what you guys think. I hope they don't bend. We will find out shortly.

Local steel shop here in Santa Rosa, CA called Relliable Steel. Check your local steel shops they should be able to order DOM for you.

BBD

Thats some high dollar stuff! A steel supplier around here quoted me over $20 a foot!

they wanted 16 a ft for .375 wa!! 2"

and BBD whats the thinking behind makeing them the same ang!e as the drive !ine?

ok thank you for the info. mine are 90" from tip to tip so the ang!e is not as much as the drive shaft

everybody ive ta!ked to within 150mi of me wants a crazy amount per ft. 15.50 for 2" .375 or 17.50 for the same from another company. most say they can not get DOM
