    NV263xhd pump rub...anyone done it?

I was just talking to a guy last night whose t-case blew up. I'm sitting there thinking....well, it hasn't happened to me yet. Until today....it's making a hell of a lot of noise now. At least I already have a Merchant auto rub kit for it. I've been into an NP205 before but never one of these...

    Turbo selection for larger engines?

I see lots of good info and experience floating around about selecting turbos for Cummins engines for the street. What about, say, a hopped up DT466 for daily use? Under my halfarse understanding of turbo maps and airflow, an s366 sounds like a good choice to me. Few of the calculators...

    Piston installation with offset bowls??

I'm helping a friend with his 4BT GMC. He's started to re-assemble the 4BT and noticed that the bowls are not centered in the piston. Piston aren't very well marked as to "FRONT" or anything, and I can't seem to find anything helpful in the Cummins manual. Which way should they be installed...

Do we need head studs? cam? Valvesprings? Need a 12v crash-course

So I'm helping my neighbor (same guy that built the 966) with his latest project. It's a '97 GMC K2500 with a 4BT. He bought it with a blown up 4BT already in it, so that part is done for us. :evil We're not entirely sure what all 'other' mods it will need, based on what he's going to do with...

    DT466 parts FS

Have SEVERAL DT466 motors for parts as well as lots of DT466 parts. All are mechanical injection. Most if not all are latemodel P-pump units from school busses. Building a new motor for the p/s and have too much stuff laying around. Prices on inquiry....they will be reasonable. Here are a few...

    shooting flames and popping...help!

Took the tractor to its first hook this year and it didn't run like it usually does. Figured it could use more timing since it was at 30*. At 30* timing, it was shooting flames out of the stack at various points down the track. IT never used to shoot flames except for right before the water...

Keep blowing turbo oil seals....need a restrictor?

Last year, we blew the oil seals out of the little charger (ball-bearing Garett) and it was blowing liquid oil out of the exhaust. Took it apart and there was a little carbon on the seals, but nothing looked bad. New seals fixed it right up. Swapped to the big charger this year and was...

    Let's talk 4BT performance....

Friend picked up a '97 GMC K2500 with a 4BT/4L80E swap. Engine was knocking when he got it so it's getting a fully rebuilt P-pump 4BT. Most parts are back from the machine shop, soon as he preps the rods, it's game awn. Plans are for some larger injectors, reground cam, HX35, and maybe some...

    noob from ohio

Noob from ohio checking in. Just have a couple of stock dmaxes. I also help a friend with his Superfarm 1066. ...I have been messing with 6.2s and 6.TDs for a long time too. Still have a 6.2 and still like it, but that's a stupid thing to admit on the internet. :hehe:
