I don't have much experience with the chevy 6.5 have a low boost problem. I've read on some forums that the waste gates are a problem is there anything else to look for?

I have a 2012 ram 2500 with and hs tuner on it about a month ago it started over heating and pushing pressure into coolant bottle. It doesnt happen all the time its random. I replaced the t stat and flushed the rad. Could It be the head gasket? I never seen one go and be fine sometimes.
