I just pick up a 01 2500 QC/SB 4x4 cheap. It has a juice with att, 5'' exhaust, 75hp injectors, AFE stage 1 box, and a Fass 150. Does any body make or know a way to get rid of the TQ managment system? I think i have seen a post about it before but i cant remember. If anyone can help let me know. Thanks.

doesnt the QZ adreinaline(sp) take it off to? with my new injectors the tq managment is really showing itself

I have a BD RAD For Sale off my 01, im taking all the stuff off it for the 12v im putting in it. $125 shipped

Thanks Brett

Does an '01 truck with a manual tranny still have tq managment?
And doesn't the BD RAD screw with your gauges or something. I talked to one guy that said it would make his windows start going up and down for no reason, another said it made all the gauges die, and no dash lights.
Just wondered if there was any truth to these claims.

The TQ management is only for the auto trucks.

On my 2001... with the BD RAD on it kills your tach but your mph, etc. still work.

My bro. 2003 it kills all your dash gauges oil press., fuel, volt, tack except for mph.

It will also throw 5 codes, so your check eng light will be on after you use it untill you restart the truck 3 times then the codes disappear.

I have had very good luck with mine and 60' 1.67 all the time with my 33x13 tires. using the smarty to manage TQ I have not 60' better then 1.75.

best drag racing mod I ever purchased. (on the dyno it gave me 6HP)

if you unlock the hot code on the attitude it should eliminate the TQ managment

Anybody know if theres truth to this? Never heard that before...
How does a BD RAD hook up?

you need an ignition power tap, ground, and then it taps into 2 wires(if remember right) in the wiring harness on the fire wall right above where the stock lift pump is.

The hot comp just fuels hard enough to overcome the 2700 rpm defuel. The torque management is different.

I called Edge today and they said the hot unlock does just fueling to 3200rpm. It will not fix TQ managment. So i take it the BD rad box is the only fix?

I have not heard of torque management before? It is not turbo related? Is it actually a ECM function?

ECM....it de-fuels in 1st and 2nd gear when boost launching

BD-RAD works awesome !!

The torque managment is a program in the ECM on 01-02 trucks that helps protect your drivetrain. When the ECM sees so many RPMS while in gear and no wheel speed present, ( like trying to powerbrake ) it sences to cut back the fuel as a saftey feature, some trucks with quick spooling chargers might not notice it as they will lite before their ECM meets these parameters, but mine with a 66mm charger wouldn't even be able to powerbrake without one, nor be able to build more then 10lbs of boost trying to launch.

true dat...

smarty will eliminate the tq man as well in the upper settings. over 5 i think. fer usre 8/9. if you dont care about yer dash gauges ithe rad is fineand cheap. but the smarty keeps it as a reg driver and will eliminate the tq man

my truck wouldnt even powerbrake either. smarty on 9 w/drag comp on 5x5 and itll smokem off the rims now!!!!!!

even pullin a really heavy load it would bounce the tq man..that really sucked
