I have a 2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the Cummins Turbo Diesel (325HP/600Ft Lbs TQ), Reg Cab Long Bed, Auto trans. Truck has 240K miles. 2nd gen manifold conversion. Truck has been Kept up with as mechanical issues arose and because of that it runs/drives great. AC blows cold too. No squeaks/rattles, truck steers well and auto trans shifts fine. Ive done the following repairs in the last 40K miles and have receipts to prove it:
2 new Injectors
driveshaft yolk
U Joints
Completely Rebuilt starter with LarryB's kit
New Batteries
Water pump
Front and rear pads/ New front rotors
New 4th gen heavy duty steering tie rods/end links and steering dampner
Borgeson steering shaft
dodge 4th gen replacement clearance lamps (old ones cracked from sun)
FASS Platinum 95GPH fuel supply system
Updated Suncoast Governor Pressure solenoid and transducer for the Transmission
Oil changes every 7500 Miles
Truck has 4" turbo back exhaust, aftermarket intake, ISSPRO Trans temp, boost and Pyrometer on the A Pillar, Deep Trans Pan.
Does need bodywork on the bed. It has rust Issues above both driver and passenger side wheels in the rear. Bed also has dents and scratches (nothing major) Dent on driver corner of rear bumper. tires are probably due for replacement by this winter. Glass is cracked on the passenger side tow mirror. The glass is available as a replacement on eBay, etc. No need to replace the entire mirror. Has 5th wheel rails from previous owner. Also has western plow frame (Frame only) from previous owner. Spray in bedliner.
