07 with trans problems

I am trying to help out my neighbor with is 07 6.0. He has no gears, he was driving and it shifted really hard a few times he said and when stopped at a light it wouldnt go any more. Towed it home and it seems like the clutches are gone. There dont seem to be any codes or anything so I am thinking its time for a new trans...

Before getting a new trans is there anything else I should trouble shoot first?

Has anyone here used twisted diesel for their trans? How are they?

Who would you recomend for the 5r100 trans?

What was used to scan the truck? What does the fluid/pan look like?

Twisted is good stuff. Good enough for some of the highest HP Fords...

Stay with the 5r on a 6.0l

I used my actron scanner, I have not pulled the pan yet but the fluid on the stick looks a bit dirty, not black but not red either.
