Title pretty much describes it all. Of the 11 second or faster 12 valves running around out there are any of you running 4.10 gears or are all of you on 3.54 gears? Contemplating on removing my 4.10 gears to finally see that ever evading 11 second pass for my turd. Thanks.

We tried leaving the 4.10s in....we switched to 3.54s and picked up everywhere

Swap em out

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

I ran 11.90s with 4.10's. Swapped 3.55's in and went 12.20s. My 60ft was a lot better with 4.10's.

Please post mph as well when sharing differences, I should have specified that.

I read one of your threads earlier. You seemed to pickup quite a bit!

Are both of you talking about 12v's?

Load it early and make it work! Makes a difference.

yep that's what we done. we picked up 1/10 on the 60. we made some other changes that helped more then the gears but with only 4k springs in the pump we were getting into the springs at the trap. we were at 3700rpm and 114 on 4.10s now were at 119 and 3500 ish.

ppump 24v so same difference

Chase wth buddy how'd ya go backwards??

Both runs were with 33's and yes it was a ppump 24. 11.90 pass was at 109 iirc and 12.20 was at 111 I think. It has been a while though, I would have to pull out the slips.

I've been curious about this too. I regret ever swapping in 4.10. it just doesn't load it the same. and that's noticeable even in my slow ass truck. it seemed to help when I was towing but that might have just been in my mind

Rps' super street truck has 4:10's. I put 4:10's in my Dakota, my goal is to run 11.90's.

Brian Bucanans truck ran 4.10s and he was a mid 10 sec truck on 29" tires

What's your truck weigh? Unless it's a real heavyweight or, you're setup to run high rpms, I'd go 3.54s. I run 3.54s with 33" tires, and it's always worked well with 3200-3500 rpm shift points.

Truck is 6600lbs with me in it and on 35s. Spent alot of time looking at turbo gearing threads on turbo forum, yellow bullet, and a few other sites and going to 3.54s seems to make alot of sense.

I have a set of 3.42's and 34" tall rubber for my half ton...but it should be sub 4000lbs....someday anyway.

I've got 3.50 gears and 29" tires. Can't really judge how it changed after switching from a 3.70 gear due to tranny issue's and too soft of coil spring but my 6oft is down to 1.76 with a slipping trans.
