i recently installed new head that was oringed and new arp head studs ,i read that orings takes multiple retorques to get them to seat right what do you guys think ?my final torque was 150 lbs

Right off Haisleys site...

HEAD STUD RETORQUE PROCEDURE
Leave valve cover off, start truck and let run until it reaches operating temperature.
Retorque HOT ENGINE first retorque only after initial installation. ALL retorques after that - COLD
12MM STD STUDS - 120 FT LB
12MM HD STUDS - 120-125 FT LB
14MM XHD STUDS - 150 FT LB
Check valves, re-adjust if necessary. Check service manual for your specific engine for valve clearances.
FOR BEST SUCCESS IF YOU REPEAT STEPS 2 AND 3 AFTER 200 MILES STREET DRIVEN OR AFTER FIRST COMPETITION RUN. RETORQUE COLD ENGINE ONLY. CHECK PERIODICALLY AFTER THAT. RETORQUE AS NEEDED.

What studs do you have? 150 seems high for the black arp studs.
