4,5 years ago I built my first 12V cummins engine. The best run was 13,9 in 1/4
Now I think its time to built new 12V engine.

Ported head,custom intake,Fletcher DP3 cam,5x0.016" 155* injectors, non ic pistons,ATS 3 Piece Maifold T4 or T3,adjustable pump gear,O-ringed block, He351vgt/s475 twins,Airdog 150 fuel pump.
I hope to get some more fuel out of my old pump as well.
Nothing crazy, just a bit better than the last engine. :evil :ft:

At the moment the truck original engine is disassembled.Pistons are flycutted, The pistons, rods, crankshaft and... are in Finland to get fully balanced.
The block have been decked.

He start the engine build, because I still hold the pole position (my best was 13.0, it was back in 2009 when I last time raced) in competition between us.

The competiton between Wagneer and me ( who have the fastest truck) started back in 2005 when my truck run 16.9 ....:lolly:

And my truck run 18,... something back in 2005.
And I remember my promise, that if I drive it fasten than 15,00 I have reached my goal.
However, it was 7 years ago when I was foolish enough to give such a promise
:blahblah1: :evil

The language barrier in this thread is making me laugh. Good luck on your new build, sounds like it'll be much faster than your original 13.9

Valve reliefs are cutted to the pistons.
And finally came back from Finland fully balanced pistons, rods, crankshaft and etc. :rockwoot:

How much did you cut the deck on the block? Which 12V piston did you use for your rebuild?

Non ic pistons? Definition and origin please?

Those pistions was originally installed ERF semi truck, similar what was used in Dodge Ram 89-91 non intercooled Cummins B series engine.

Thanks. Are they stronger, better metal, withstand more heat, or? Can you buy them new?

I do not think they are stronger, but it have bigger bowl and still 17 CR, so you have better choice of injectors.

Engine block is painted
