1971 IH Travelette DTA466 swap

Almost no rust, my friend just tore it down and cleaned it ask up. Great running truck. 300 with a od splitter and 435.
 
Cab and bed are at the sand blasters!

I shot that bullnose with that hot rod primer black. It's actual paint not just primer. Very nice paint. Easy to spray.
 
Got the box back! just a little patching on one corner then it's time for seam sealing, mud flying and lots and lots of sanding.....

The turbo will be in Wednesday so there will be a engine dyno run coming shortly! The trans will be back soon, then I can finish the driveline.....getting there a little at a time....
 
Ran the rear wiring harness....7 wire trailer cable.....

Got the turbo... had Carson and the place that did my pump recommend the S366.

So I've had great luck with a 130 amp 3G on my IDI, figured i'd use it here too.... Was going to make a bracket when I found a Scout 2 steering pump with a bracket on it. Figured I can cut it up and make it work. I took it and it almost aligned with the factory 466 holes! With a little reaming and shaving of the front cover it BOLTED ON! Also fit the alternator perfect!

Was even able to use a Scout 2 adjustment bracket! Man I love my IH's!

Butttt.... a pinched oil pump o ring shut things down early. Got it straightened out... round 2 tomorrow.

Played with the timing from 20-30, Settled on 27. Would boost to 40 no problem!
