Hey there, I'm looking at a 96 f250. It has 240k with ts 6 position chip with tony wildman tunes. it is 4x4 as well. 4'' exhaust too. It is a 5 speed with a new 350 hp clutch. I dont know much about diesels as I have never owned one yet. Any tips on what to look for? How much should I pay for it? What will it get for MPGs?
 
$$$ depends on looks and condition. MPG depends on gear ratio, my '96 3.55/5speed used to get 21 mpg @ 72 mph on trips. With the mods I've done I still get 18mpg combo city/hiway.
 
What cab configuration? I'm guessing a ex cab long bed 4x4, anywhere from $1500 - $7G.

I have a friend who has the more rare crew cab short bed 4x4 5spd if you want to spend a little bit more..
