2000 Excursion 12v G56

I don't know how I missed this, but nice build/fix!

I had a car that I could never get the hydraulics to bleed correctly as well as my first 2nd gen. I'd stick with a one piece unit for headaches sake, whether it is custom from SB or Valair, or you punch out the studs and weld the rod.

The best chance to bleed it is to have the line facing upwards (slave cyl perpendicular to the ground) and pump the slave cyl till you stop seeing bubbles in the master. Make sure to pump it slowly and hold for a few seconds at the end. I've never messed with a mighty vac so I'm no help there.

Well I figured out the clutch slave situation today. I must have swapped the trans side push rods between my 2 clutch slave systems. One push rod was about 1/32" shorter then the other. Figures I had putt the short rod into the slave lol. Figured it out after I pulled the one in the truck out etc lol. Tested it and it worked great.
I finally test drove the truck. It was really cold and might have been gelling up little bit. I added some power service 911 and let it idle. Noticed my power windows, horn, interior lights, and interior fans don't work now. They all worked when I parked it in 2009...argh. I got to do some digging in the wiring to figure out what could have blown or ?
I hope I can trace it out tomorrow and test out the new plow. Need defroster fan and power windows to plow.
Thanks,
Deo

I have a few bugs to work out:
- Power window and light issue was the relay. It was out of the fuse panel. reinstalled and they work.
- My Door ajar is bugging me by keeping the interior lights on. I Had to pull the interior light relay out to get them to turn off.
-The Speedometer is not working, I have a new rear axle speed sensor installed. May be a ABS issue??
- The defrost fan is not working. I changed the blower motor resistor and still not working. The Rear interior fans work. I wil check for power and see if blower will work by iself with jumper.

Any Ideas fummins guys??
Thanks,
Deo

I'll try the latches but I thought the electrical switch was inside the door panel ? I know the previous owner cut a bunch of under hood wires. I need to go through some I have ABS light on and believe the ABS is screwed up and the cause of my non functioning Speedometer. I already changed the rear diff speed sensor. I Think it works with the abs to give signal for speedo.
It was cold enough to gell up yesterday morning was like 10 below at night in morning it was about 0. Started very hard, I ran idle up to a 1800 rpm or so. The truck ran about 3 minutes then started to die and rev back up checked fuel pressure, and it was dipping to 0 intermittently. I replaced the Filters, and added a bunch of power service 911 and white bottle in the filters & tank. I had filled up night before and added white power service in the tank. I hope it doesn't keep up like that. The Filter fuel was slightly cloudy, but didn't see any wax?
Pictures soon.

wondering how that synflex air line is holding up as fuel line as I need to replumb the entire fuel system on my truck and that looks like a slick way to do it.

The Synflex works fine! I've personally used it almost 10 years on my builds. My Friend has used it alot longer too. He plumbs his shop with the bigger sizes for supply air. Look at the big trucks often use it too for fuel. Eaton rates it for fuel. I wouldn't use the quick connects with fuel, to be careful.
Thanks,
Deo

cool. Thank you for the reply.

Just updated the alternator to be a 1 wire, internally regulated. Should have done it years ago.

Just re did my fuel line setup. I was missing some fittings- 45's and 90's . But got it to work this way till they show up. Reusable steel fittings with teflon tube any how. I had two filter bases on frame the stock lift was sucking thru. Was causing issues. So redid a single filter on the side if engine. So lift pump pumps thru it. Still has 1/2 lines. Got new lift pump from cummins, and still made in china , but was cheaper then napa lol! Runs good. Also patched up my exhaust and added additional hangers. The muffler and tail pipe were twisting constantly. Also welded in flanges for a 4" remote mount BD Exhaust Brake. Ive had it sitting in box about 5 yrs lol. Added some hangers to support it. Have to mount a airtank and the electric compressor. Should be cool. Pictures of it soon.
Thanks,
Deo
