Yep, we tried a 2005 today.
Didn't work.
Not sure if it was a good one or we fried it...

I'm thinking it was a bad ECM from the jump then.

meanwhile, the 05 ECM I have has like 6 strange codes in it that I can't clear, so no go there. The only other pre-06 ECM I have is an 03, so no bueno there.

At least it might run and we can see if we can communicate with it.

Tried a known bad 2005, it worked sort of...LOL
At least we could communicate with it and start the truck.
So, still need a ECM 2004.5-2005.

i have one with a 12/03/2004 date on it that came out of a 05 auto with 44,000miles if that will help you. contact me at 4433099359

I have one here that has a 7/20/2004 date code and bears part number 3971608.
I believe it to be either an extremely early '05, or possibly and extremely late '04 model.

I'm nearly certain it is an automatic.
