Ordered and owned since new April 2004. Was my daily driver from 2004-2010.Picked up a TDI jetta and then used truck more as my hobby vehicle. Really no need for this truck any longer and looking to give it a new home. Some with a wrecked truck or access to a motor could have a very nice truck for little fair $$ spent. Looking for $10,000 American dollars or OBO for all I have listed. Not looking to part this up at the moment as a single sale would make for the easiest way for me to deal with this.
Truck ate a valve at highway speed and killed cylinder #1. Broke tip of that injector and took a piece of the block with valve parts. Am told by MassDiesel the block is bad(piece missing) and would be cheaper to replace the engine than try and repair. Not interested in going down that road.
Here is what I can think of for parts that I think would be interested in. Truck is in great shape. No rot or rust on body. Steel components under truck are rusted as they should be from New England area. Truck has been garaged since new most nights. When left outside because of other work in my garage I would put a covercraft cover on the truck. Cover is included in parts to go with vehicle.
Thought I would get a start on listing this once I decided against repairing. Time for a new hobby for me. Would be a great vehicle for someone with a 3rd gen looking to add some go fast parts. The transmission and Twin Turbo parts alone cost close to what I am asking. Many other parts that would be great to add to any 3rd gen. Solid axle hubs manual hubs to get rid of those factory throw away hubs. Rims/Tires approx.. 5k miles on them, they are still like new.
