2005 2500 rear wheel backspacing

I have a 05 regular cab 2500 and I have a set of 17" diamo wheels with 395 m&h race masters on them ...the problem is wen I put the wheels on to play or go to the track they stick way out and don't look good and they spray the sides of my truck with crap ....there is allot of room to go in vs going out so the back spacing is all wrong ...what wheel and back spacing should I be looking for ?

take current back spacing, add to that what the wheels stick out, and that will be more or less the back spacing you are looking for.

For reference, stock 5-spoke aluminum 17's have ~6" backspacing... iirc those are 17x9's.

That sounds simple enough ...I'll give it a shot ...how do I measure the current back spacing ? ...and where can I find a wheel company that makes wheels in the back spacing I need ?

Real Wheels make custom wheels, or have your current wheels widened by someone like Weldcraft wheels.

My current wheel I run around with are 20" wheels ...I have the other set for the track but now I want those tires on a different wheel so I can get some traction during street battles
