2005 6.0 hard start

im asking this for a freind at work, 2005 6.0 f250 2wd completley stock. it has a new fuel pump on the frame,new oil pump & fitting. it starts & starts to shake & shuts down. any ideas
 
Check the filter cap on that pump. Sometimes it is hard to get completely tight,
 
has is ran since changing all the stuff mentioned above or is he trying to get it started after doing the repairs?
 
Oh yes the dealer, 6.0's dont have IDMs they have FICMs but I guess they are kind of the same. 20 volts is extremely low don't think I have ever seen one below 40 and they will not start at that level. I hope he didn't have to pay the bill, a 58 volt rebuild from swamps is a lot cheaper than one from the dealer.
