2006 EGR valve

Too much is never enough!
A friend with an '06 Liberty just had the EGR valve go out and was quoted an astronaumical amount to have it fixed at the dealer.

As soon as I can I will get the codes posted.

I also here that is a common problem. Where is a good place to get an EGR valve, other than the dealer. Has anyone done this?

Further more, what is the warranty on the engine in these cars?

Any feed back would be appreciated.
 
That is something I was gonna look at when I can get her car to my house..I may try that, but she is also thinking of selling it, so it will need to work at somepoint in the future.

Is it a diesel? I did a block on my 05 Lib diesel and have been running with the check eng light for years. Doesn't see to hurt performance at all.
You may not want to do the light though.
