Guy brought truck to me wouldnt run start hpfp codes and cranked really fast. I compression tested it 6 cylinders low on compression. Recommended that we put a running motor in it save time and probably some $. The truck is a 6 speed 550 2wd. I pulled the motor out took clutch and rear cover off he brought me a motor out of a 2009 automatic I took rear cover off that motor put new gasket in to seal to the block and new rear main seal. Installed the cover. Installed the clutch torqued the pressure plate. Trans slid right into the clutch I set the assembly in the chassis last night. Started it up today first turn of the key cranked right up. However it has a very strange physical vibration and what I mean is its not a misfire something is physically out of balance. Could the harmonic balancer be different or even though the pressure plate is on the dowel pins on the flywheel could it be opposite where it should be. Im sure its a minor problem but I just want someone elses insight.
