I have a 2009 jetta tdi with 170k.

While in my apartment complex i popped it into sport (never went over 1/4 throttle). Low oil pressure alarm went off. Shut it down on the spot. Waited a few seconds. Restarted it, no alarms. Crawled back to my building.

Popped the hood. Oil level was a little on the high side. Noticed a strange intermitant clicking noise (dosnt sound like a rod knock).

Do the CR's still have the hex shaft failures? Are the pumps prone to failure?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do a search on TDICLUB, I believe I just saw a post mentioning your exact issue. I'll see if I can find it again in the mean time.

I have never seen anything about low oil pressure issues on these new cars but I don't frequent that part of the TDI Club forums. As far as I know the hex shaft isn't an issue but I don't even know whether or not these have that to drive the oil pump like the B5.5 does.
