2010 Mega Cab spy shots

Looks like its gonna be a monster of a truck. Should be a fun wait!

I Worked on the program.Code name DJ. Its built in Saltio Mexico..I saw the Pilot truck at CTC(Chrysler Tech Center) about a month ago

I thought I read somewhere that the Megacab was going to be discontinued after 09' but I guess not after seeing this.

As Robts will confirm, nothing at Chrysler would surprise me at this point.

IMHO, the *new* Dodge inside is too busy. It looks ok when it is clean but if it gets cluttered, dirty or both...it's almost un functional.

a dodge house here in texas told me yesterday they were discontinuing the megacabs

No the mega cab is still around

The light duty 09 trucks (DS platform) has std cab, quad and Crew..Three models now offered in the light duty.
Stlouis (SLNAP)will be the std and crew
Warren truck(WTAP) will build the Quad and crew all light duty

The Saltio plant always build the Heavy duty truck. The plant is almost all installed and they are running some phases of pilot build. They wont cancell that program. There is market for the heavys and I think its something like 45% of there sales they said including the Sterling platform of the truck(4500 series)

I wish sometimes I could take pictures at work and at the Tech center

From what Ive heard and seen (in spy shots) the Mega is dead in '10. Its gone in the 1500 now, but will carry on thru '09.

You can clearly see that the cab ends before the camo does in the posted pics.

I personally think killing the Mega is a dumb thing for Chrysler to do...but Im not the one trying to run my company into the ground, so what do I know??

If they make a MEGA in a 4500 or 5500, with an 8ft bed, I'll buy it..... loaded out.

Uh ok I did read what you posted. Three cab sizes. Regular, quad, and crew. Got that. But I dont see MEGA anywhere in there...

From what Ive heard (from some other guys that say they are 'in the know') the crew cab will be roughly the same size as the current Mega Cab, but without the storage behind the rear seat. So...if its smaller than the current Mega, it ain't a Mega, now is it?

Obviously, we arent going to know for sure till its revealed in February

While I'm not doubting whether or not the Megacab is coming back (with an 8 foot bed, gasm!!!) it appears the pictures in the link of the first truck looks like a regular crew cab with some mega-like camo fitted to the back. The top of the camo seems to be lower than the top of the cab. The cab itself seems to curve downward before the camo as if to indicate it's ending under where the camo is attached. See the mega pic at the bottom how consistently straight the roof remains until it actually ends. Just my observation..

An 8ft bed with "old style" fenders, like the Mega has, would look KILLER!!!

Time will tell all... There are a few companys out there that are doing the eight foot bed conversion for the mega cabs. The one in california doesn't void the waranty either. They look pretty sweet. A.k.A. "land yacht!"

True! If I get a megacab I am thinking about getting a longbed conversion done.

Ive been to Precision Bodyline in Utah numerous times. Their conversion looks darn near factory. Thats where Im gonna take my Mega, when I get one
