Just for infromation the DANA 80 (disc brakes) dually from 01-02 is visually very similar to AAM11.5 (hubs and brakes) and I do not surprise if they are interchangable.

Same with front DAna 60 (00-02) and AAM 9.25 from 3rd Gen , front brakes and disc are interchangable (I do not remember maybe hubs too)

The front disks ARE NOT interchangable between 60 and 9.25 the rotors are larger and have more back set.

new from a parts house isnt too bad for all of it.

Actually You can upgrade AAM brakes (calipers and rotors) to 00-02 Dana 60 , only disadvantage you must use 17 inch wheels.

The front brake caliper is the same in 00-02 dana 60 and AAM, only difference is mounting bracket.

Here is a pic of a 3rd gen brake rotor on the studs next to my 2nd gen rotor and caliper. The 3rd gen rotors are 14.9" in diameter much larger than a 2nd gen. And with the amount of backspacing the rotor is into the steering knuckle. Again they DO NOT fit!!! I tried to do this on my truck it won't work.

The 3rd gen brake swap is pretty popular with 01-02 owners who want upgraded brakes. It requires the 3rd gen bracket, 3rd gen rotors and you re-use the 2nd gen calipers. I believe it only works on those years of trucks though.

Now that does not answer your original question. I am also curious on a dana 80 drw disk conversion. The closest I have found was in a write up on pirate 4x4 where a guy did a swap on a 1st gen dana 70 DRW axle.. The guy used DRW brackets from DIY4x.com, rotors from a 2003 Chevy 3500 dually express van, and the standard chevy caliper 73-87. Not a bolt on kit but it is something.

Visually your axle looks like 98 -99 and yes , 3rd gen front axle parts will fit ONLY to 00-02 Dana 60 axle
