1973 IH 1210.

Im looking to drop a more modern 2wd front suspension in, basically replacing the whole front of the frame. The truck will see a decent mount of strip time, so I want it to be stable, and I don't like the Leaf spring solid axle up front.

I was thinking about sourcing the front part of the frame from a parted Dodge or something, but I wanted to check in and see what people would think the Ideal 2wd suspension to swap in would be. I am Keeping it 8 lug.

I am converting a IH d1310 to ifs. Using a mid 80's Chevy C20 front subframe. It is 8 lug. Disc brake. Lots of options for mods over there.

Right on, the chevy front suspension has been on my mind also. What are you doing for coil springs?

Air bags all round. Slam specialties ss7s for the front. Also using a power rack. Tried ford transit but the one I have is rear mount and chevy is front mount. Going to check out a Mercedes sprinter truck/van. Very similar track and same size truck as the d1310 so might be good for yours too.
