2wd project

I bought a single cab 2wd dually. I'm wanting to chop it down to short bed but thinking about back halving it and 4 link-ladder bars while we are doing it. Any advice and insight would be Awsome. S&w has some nice kits just unsure which one to use Ill try and get pics up soon.
