3rd gen 12 valve

Common Rail is the future. Why live in the past?

Im not a fan of that many computers controlling that many functions, let alone CR injectors....i would love a third gen truck, dont want to own a CR though

p.s. 2011 heavy duties are fricken schweeeeeeet
 
i am going to do a 2005 1500 quad cab 2wd 4bt swap for mileage reasons...(like a family vacation and daily driver kindof thing)... when i get done ill let you know how it went...
 
that is kinda what I want I am going to find a gaser and use it but most likely a 2500 and maybe get lucky and find a stick let me know about the electronics changeover

the factory tach may not work unless there is some kind of adaptor or tone ring setup to use, but you could leave the ECM and PCM from the gas on the truck and just use the gauge sensors off the gas engine onto the cummins. Not sure about the speedo either.
