do you have to run an auto pcm to use this, or can you do with out?

You dont need a pcm to control a 47rh trans. The plug on the side is a 3 wire. Center wire 12v, front wire ground for o/d, rear wire for converter lockup. You can also run a hobbs switches off of the govenor port to control o/d and lockup via road speed and pressure. You run the ground wires for o/d or converter thru the hobbs switches.

RH Manual lockup switch = "Rear Steering Control".
OD switch = "Warp Speed Inducer".
