48re tranny build Questions

Hey guys I have some questions. I have an 03 with a 48re tranny and want to go full manual but the only kits transgo offers that iv found is for the 47re and wont work in the 48re. Where can I get a kit at? My second question is which shifter will work with the setup I will be making my own console but not sure which shifter to use? I was thinking along the lines of tci outlaw shifter or the B&M 81052 stealth from summit. The problem is none say they are compatible with the 48re. How easy is it to Daily drive with one of these shifters?

I have manual VB from Toby Cashion. It works great. I daily mine with a B&M Pro Stealth Racthet

So I just need a 47re valve body to put in my 48re?

Yes you need to start with a 47re vb then you will need to modify if you want 2nd gear lockup.

My 03 and the two we have for work are all 47re.

8th digit in vin is a c.

Doesn't matter. I've run across numerous that the VIN and trans don't match. My own being one of them. VIN said 47re pulled trans and its a 48re. Also have pulled them the other way also says 48 but has a 47.

yep. ive seen it too. id take a closer look. my 03 had a 47
