4wd 1500

what would be the pro's and con's of racing a 4wd 1500? I'm thinking with the light wieght i wouldnt need as much Hp but being too light i could be just spinning all 4's. The drivetrain would be with 60F & 70R. Also I dont know what class i could run. currently im stationed in maryland but i might be transfering down south next year

What about putting Ford 9's under it? I've also been thinking about a half ton 4wd. Cause weight and you can get them for cheaper and with better bodys. Making them the perfect start for a project.
