5.9 CR going in a 1984 GMC 1500

Update on my modified oil pan: It holds 10qts plus whatever the filter holds. Should be right at or just under 11qts.

Not much new. Pulled trans, ordered manual valvebody and dpc converter, and been working on the dash.

Dash shell in, body worked, and painted.

Got my midget engine mounts, manual vb, and dpc converter from firepunk. Hopefully get it all installed this weekend.

Thanks guys. I took a little break from this to work on the wife's crew cab. Over the past month or so we converted it to a dually.

No diesel. It's a 91 stock 350 tbi. Runs good, but not a powerhouse. I have a vortec 454/4l80e for it, but I'm trying to convince her to put a cummins in it. Pretty tough because she loves big blocks. Once mine is going I think it'll be easier.

Thanks. That took a lot of trial and error.

I'm hoping to get back on the 84 this weekend and hopefully fire it up sometime in March. I need to hear it run for motivation. Been working on it too long.

The fuel filter might not flow as much as that fitting hopes it will...fyi. Sweet build.

I believe that. I think it will flow plenty for now though. Not going crazy yet. Thanks.

Exhaust is done. Had to go with 4" down pipe then stepped up to 5" and used a dynomax bullet muffler.

Awesome build!! I really like those OBS chevys

I especially like the tail light filler cap on the crew cab and the exhaust exit on the RCSB.

Tight exhaust didn't lose much ground clearance at all. Down side to being back halved.
