6.0 loosing coolant, white smokes everyonce in a while badly

Hey I'm working on an 05 f550 for family, they are telling me that this truck sometimes will white smoke really bad. It can do it anytime doesent matter when. They say it will at idle, start up, or driving down the road, it is using coolant but never over heats, no sign of water in the oil.
I have drove the truck a few times and I can't get it to smoke at all except fuel smoke. But I did add 1/2 gallon of water, can anyone help me figure this one out! Thanks!! Oh and this is the second engine for the truck,

I'd say it has a bad egr cooler.

proly a bad egr but when the truck is running get out take the cap off the coolenttank and hold your hand over it and see if it has pressure when you move your hand maybe a leakin headgasket

my guess is a cracked EGR cooler.

Mine did that all the time then later on down the road it finally cracked get a egr delete best thing i have ever done!!!
