Ok guys I'm ppumping my truck but I wanna start building my new engine to swap in its place what all would I need to do to make a 6.4l iIkknow it involves the 6.7 crank, 40 over pistons but I've heard you gotta cut the pistons due to the stroke being to long does anyone know how much to remove or where to get custom pistons

Are you using a 5.9 block or 6.7 block?

There are a few very different ways to go about building a 6.4

Wiseco offers a drop-in forged piston for use with a +0.040" bore and 6.7L crank being 6.2L or 378 cubic inches.

I'm probably going to be using a 5.9 block, is there anything else I have to do besides pistons

I've got a QSB 6.7 longblock that started pushing oil. Also have a 5.9 crank and other items to make it a front gear train. You add billit rods and there you go. Pm if interested.

Haven't tried it yet had to drop for a trans it's still in the works just trying to do more research on it first
