Is anyone running one of these. A buddy of mine just bought a 6.4 and wants to play with it. ANY KIND OF HELPFUL FEEDBACK would be appreciated. Thank you

Yes, there are maybe 4-5 running around. Wide Open pretty much has a kit. Rudy's Diesel has done one for a 2.6 6.4. And then there is a couple of homemade jobs.

Pretty much everyone and their mother upgrades their diesels to duals, so why do you want to downgrade your stock duals to a single? There are several great upgrades that retain the compound setup and support 800+hp.

simplicity and back presure issues, also doing the single can lead to easy instal of compounds...

How about you contribute instead of only posing to make a boob of yourself.

...which were already installed to begin with....

LOL you're an idiot, they are not compounds...you sir are a boob

We're talking about the stock turbos on the 6.4L powerstroke, which are in fact compounds. I suggest you Google and figure out what compound turbos are so you don't make such a fool of yourself next time.

Two turbos in series = compounding boost pressure, which is, compound turbos!

It added factual data to the thread.

are the 6.4's stock set up as true twins? as in one turbo off one exhaust bank, and the other off the other?

Josh don't know what compounds are. I have already had this argument with him. The fake tan and dumb shades have dilluted his mind. He will be going to a single soon cause it is the only thing he undersatands.

My turbos spool up fantastic. I don't know why anybody would want to add seconds to their 0-60 time to get the same power.

We will be releasing our single turbo kits here shortly, as soon as we can get the pieces needed to assemble the turbochargers. We tested the kit on a 2010 truck running custom KEM tunes, 4" exhaust, and Airaid intake. Stock fuel system and stock transmission. Truck made just over 600hp uncorrected at 4300ft elevation. Works really well on the street and dropped EGT's and drive pressures substantially. Very pleased with the outcome.

We have been running my truck with stock injectors and its been 12.2 on that setup and made 947 on stock fuel, sure the driving is sacrificed but i really dont care and i love the way it sounds, its def alot faster and the backpressure without a gate is 1:1 egts NEVER get over 1350
