A couple of weeks ago, my 05 ran the best it ever has. It ran a 10.953 @ 123.68 mph. The incrementals were:
1.650 60'
4.561 330
7.012 1/8
100.15 1/8 mph
9.139 1000'

The truck ran between there and 11.02 all night. It was not as consistient as it usually is, but that was more me playing with tuning the anything.

Last year I built the engine for it, which I believe there is a thread here about that, but basically it has Crower billet rods, o-ringed head(mild porting), F1 cam, ARP main studs, ARP 625+ head studs, balanced rotating assembly, stock 05 Cummins pistons coated by Swain coatings, Polydyn coated rod and main bearings, and I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting. The engine now has just over 300 1/4 mile passes and ~20,000 street miles.

Fuel is supplied by a Mitusa lift pump, PPE dual fueler, and F1 Flux 5 injectors.

Electronic is Smarty SSR only.

Air is a HTT 66/74/16SS over a S488 (by Jose/Dr Turbo).

Last dyno was 944hp and 1768ftlbs, uncorrected. Fuel only.

The goal for this truck is to compete in NHRA Super Street, which runs on a 10.90 index. This is about as close as I want to get on fuel only. Hopefully this answers some of the questions before they are asked.

Very cool, all you need now is to find a consistant tenth and you off to running Super Street. It'd be cool to see a diesel in both SS and Super Gas, I got licensed for Super Comp but never followed through with it; just mostly always bracket raced the local tracks. Good Luck to you!

Here are some video's:

This is qualifying in the heat of the day. Track temp was about 130.

First round of elminations.

Final round of elminations. I ran an 11.122 on a 11.12 dial. Was a little slow on the tree and lost. Pickup did it's job, but it was past my bed time! That's my story... LOL

Here is an in cab video, same day. The blue truck running in the other lane ahead of me, is my 02 with Patti driving it.

Yep, Ultimate's. The only thing I can remember we've had a problem with, is a planetary gear set. The trans works great at the track and on the street.:cheer: (I thought I would do that before somebody else did... LOL)

Paul congrats, what do you plan to do for the other hundreds . If any one can run that class its you good luck.

Thanks Ryan. The truck runs pretty consistient. Improving traction will make it more so. I have an NX progressive system on it, that I plan to use that to be able to adjust it to hopefully run right on the 10.90 index. Nitrous on a diesel is new to me, but I think it will work. It's not that I can't get there fuel only, I just want the adjustablity of the nitrous system. Anybody have any suggestions on this, I'm all ears!

I just like the idea of a street driven diesel pickup running Super Street. As you know there really aren't any street drive vehicles in NHRA Super Street.

Nice Paul!!

The only thing about NHRA Super Street that bugs me is the throttle stops and the 9 sec. cars running 10.90 @ 140+:bang

Thats why I like racing in my local Street Car Shootouts. It's bracket racing, but no electronics or throttle stops.

I agree. I don't like that either, but it's the best class for me to run in, that runs in the national events. I actually prefer racing bracket classes.

Nice work Paul! Bummed not to see you up at PIR this past weekend but it looks like its running good now. Keep up the good work and hopefully see you over here in Coos one of these times at the track!

Congrats Paul! Can't wait to see it run in Boise in a week! Hopefully we can avoid each other until the final round in the Race of Champions!

I really want to see you drive that thing through the gates (or better yet tow your travel trailer in) and run Super-Street! Like you I really don't like the timed throttle stops. A friend of a friend built a car that is running S/ST with 10.90 @ around 168 mph. Nothing like building a mid-low 7-second car to run high 10's...

I love Threads like these! Excellent In-Cab video! It's really cool seeing someone's hard work paying off (no pun). Thanks for sharing Paul!
