How come no one uses the 60mm inducer S300’s? Like the 177272 or 177280 with a .7 or .8 housing swap, I would think they would make a good single turbo even for towing or a good top turbo in a smaller set of twins?
I believe the 360 is 65lbmin and the newer s357 is 67
Pressure ratio capability is often more important, especially in a compression ignition engine. There is also a non wastegated T3 AGP housing for the 68/76mm turbine that is reasonably priced.
I run one on (S360ET/65/.8 W/G) on a VP 24V. Edge EZ, 155hp injectors in a Freightliner FL80. Runs really well, spools nice, tows great. We gross around 60K lbs with it, no problems at all.

I'm curious about these sized turbos for VE powered trucks. It seems like it would fill the gap between a HE351cw and it's 9cm housing and a S362 sxe.
Also who is building/selling S360's? Engineered Diesel or North American Turbo? I just don't see them advertised much. I'm assuming the standard S360 has the 65mm wheel and the "SXE" version has the 68mm?
I saw a S360 variant for sale the other day. He claimed it was a 60/68/.70 Had a wasteaged housing and SXE style 3rd gen cover from Smeding Diesel. I had never heard of them, but the cover has their name cast into it. I have seen a similar turbo on Hungry Diesel's website listed for $1400.
Wasn't the ats a3k a 60/65 s200?

The ones I’ve seen had the 68mm turbine wheel, and I haven’t seen any sold with the wastegated T3 housings on them that is usually used on these pickups. Several places sell the T3 wastegated housing for the 68mm wheel separate though, Power Driven and Crazy Carl’s I know do for sure.
I was borderline set on putting a 60/68/.7 together for my pickup to use but I ended up getting an S357/65/.7 through some trading a couple weeks ago so I may try it as a single or put a primary under it for some small twins.
Mark I’ve always had it done just at a local turbo rebuilder. The last one I had done they cleaned and blasted the rotating assembly and balanced it for $100.
I have a run of the mill 62/65 on my 89 and I like it. It was good enough to make 487rwhp too.
