so i kindof want to put a floor shifter in my 09 2500 has anyone ever tried this? any one have any input?

There used to be a guy on Ebay that sold the shifter assembly for around $500ish dollars IIRC. I couldnt imagine it would be too terribly difficult, get the console out of a 1500 ram, shifter, linkage should almost be a bolt in.

Don't let this one die. I would love to have a ratchet shifter as well and either move the manual gear selector to the cruise on/off and resume buttons on the steering wheel. Or even find a shifter that worked with a tap shifting option would be great.

Found this one but don't think it would work....

after contacting a few companies i have found out that tci is the only company that had any idea and information about doing this they have 2 styles to choose from the first is part #611641 outlaw and the second is 616443 street fighter for anyone looking to do this i wont be for a while since my trans didnt like all the burnouts this weekend and i only have 1st.......oh well time for more goodies right?!?!?

Please excuse the coffee cup and other stuff around it. Snapped a quick photo to show you my setup.

Its a Hurst pistol grip quarter stick shifter for a Chrysler A727/A904 forward pattern vb. Slapped right in. I used JEGS shifter pedestal to support it high enough so that it feels comfortable.

EDIT: Just realized OP has a 68rfe. Sorry I run a 48re in my 2008. Not sure if it will work
