68RFE Gear Selector

I have an 08 3500 and just rebuilt the transmission. I parked it the other night and went to leave back out and the selector only shows R and when you pull down goes straight to D. Ive watched the arm on the transmission and it seems to go through all the gears correctly. Even placed in neutral to pull it out from my trailer. Any body have this issue before?

Its to have a relearn via star scan tool. Its in limp mode would my guess.
