700hp VE truck

Congrats Stomp! I remember seeing that truck run on the dyno at the last Imler Diesel dyno day in '04 and seeing it run at the RPM dyno day in Rohnert Park, Ca a couple years later. Something on the truck broke both times causing a stuck throttle at WOT. BPonci, remember that one?

Where is the rest of the dyno sheet?
You know, the bottom where it shows the correction factor and other data.

Was there a correction factor or not?

Seems the answer to this is being avoided like the plauge.

If you look at the sheet Ponci posted, it says CF:SAE which means that yes, an SAE correction factor was used, which can either correct hp up or down depending on how the air is. At Vegas, the uncorrected numbers may be a little lower, but I think congrats are still in order for that type of hp.

Congrats are definitely in order, however I don't understand what is with all the secrecy that is going on.:what:

There is no secrecy going on. I have never said anything negitive on a dyno sheet nor will i start. People bust there ass and post things not to get bashed on. I have in the past said good job or your hard work is paying off. If you want to say cudos then thats great. If not then you know what to do. I have personaly busted my ass on this project and shared my findings and (lack on knowlage) to everyone and have hopefully that has helped others. It doesnt matter if its a east or west coast number its all good in our community. If i thought this was going to start a *****ing and whinning convention i would of never stared it. Thanks for all the support to the people that care. Sorry about the rant i just get tired of the bull****!!!

congrats from me as well, good to see hard work pay off. ive been to a couple of dyno events and watched p-pumped twin turbo trucks that were supposed to hit 600 h.p. only make it to the 480 range. it takes alot of the right effort to get a truck over 600 hp mark.especially a ve pump. congrats again:Cheer:

Hahahaha happens in Utah more often then not! :hehe:

Brad, I'm sure you did work your tail off,; nobody has said different.
But as we all know the next "goal" for a ve was 700 hp. If you dyno 674 and it corrects it to 707 then I would say it has yet to be done.
As I stated on DTR, you guys will probably get there soon; just not yet.

If you really want to watch some jaws drop, dyno that truck here in the Rockies; they use a 15% correction all the time.
It will blow past 750 hp.

The day they dyno'd here in Vegas was right after a cold front moved through and outside temps ranged from 65*F to 75*F. A high pressure system was moving in so the barometer was rising. The elevation at Diesel Specialists is really close 2000 ft above sea level meaning I'll bet the correction factor was 1.02 max.

The weekend before this dyno event was the NHRA drags and it was in the lower 80's. The announcer at the track announced the density altitude at 4400 ft. On a day like that, i could see the correction factor being 5% or more.

The correction factor was 5%. Oh well I dont care anymore it is what it is. I am not giving up because I have some tricks to pull out of my hat. For all of the dynoes that I have been on I have never seen anymore than 10hp+/- and that has been quite a few dynoes. Ponci's event is at sea-level and I know there isnt going to be a correction factor so I am not going to claim anything until then.

I remember that one and ever since that run away I started loosing power. That is why Brad decided to build a new motor for it. The cam gear was starting to fall off. We have some more tuning to do for the next event, but I think there is some more in the old girl. Well I hope so anyways. Thanks Scott

Congrats Stomp! This mean your back in the game?

Yeah i'm back. I can't keep up with Winspeed anymore, but I will represent the First Gen Crowd and hopefully make them proud.

No problem. You gonna make it to Sac Raceway on the 15th? If so, it'd be cool to hang out with you again. Last time we hung out was at that event where you had the runaway.
