I've been searching quite a bit on this turbo for a primary and seeing quite a few mixed reviews. Some claim it's the cat's a$$ for a street setup, then again some say it will suffer on top end with drive pressure issues. I'd like to reach the 700hp club with this primary on a p pump 24v with a 188/220 cam. I figure I'll have to run a larger secondary than my 57/65 to reach that goal, but the ultimate goal is spool over top end. Practical or should I be looking for something different?

Iirc RonA did mid 700hp on a Ppump truck with that exact 75/83/1.1 primary.

I talked to Ron about it and it got me interested. I'd prefer the 87 turbine, but I don't know how much more it would cost me. How many trucks get into the 700's with the 83 turbine?

Not exactly apples to apples, but I run a cast 75/92/1.10 T6 as a primary. It spools really well. It's already making 1 or 2 Lbs of boost at 80 mph cruise. Can't imagine wanting less turbine for compounds. My drive pressure is 1:1 ratio at 65 psi. I believe that at some point you can get to small on the primary turbine and it just becomes more of a restriction without aiding spool up. I don't have any dyno numbers, but I would say it's definitely at 700 with a 60 mm secondary.

I made 797hp on my 12v with a 57/65/14 and a box 75/96/1.32 and it spooled great. I would keep your secondary and bump up to a 92 turbine.

I've got the 75/96/1.32 now. With my vp it wouldn't spool the best and driveability just wasn't there. I'm gonna see how it runs now with the p7100 and 188/220 cam before I change anything...
