88 7.3 help

[Ackerdiesel]

I was given an 88 7.3 today and the fuel filter housing is gone. Can i cut the steel lines and put an inline filter in temporaraly until i get a spin on filter base? Also the truck has all kinds of wiring problems. Can anyone give me a wiring diagram? Im going to have to rewire the whole ignition and all. But the truck was free so im not going to complain to much.

I suppose you could, but you'll end up costing your self money in the long run.. The steel lines to the filter then from the filter to the IP are kinda spendy if gotten at the dealer. You could prolly get some parts that use the steel lines work and put a hose nipple on it, with a filter and some short rubber hoses, til you get a filter tower.

As for the wiring.. its actually really simple.. 1 wire from the + battery to the IP and you can make it run

Im now just going to put on an electric lift pump and full rubber lines and a filter base and a spin on filter like off of a 350 cummins
