Well I knew it was steel. I didn’t know if it was plain old A36 or what.
Good answer, keep them thinking. :evilThe material is not that critical because it's not seeing any heat like a wheel brake would.
So the pinion brake is hand actuated, and only for staging? Factory location brakes slow the truck down still? The material is not that critical because it's not seeing any heat like a wheel brake would.
Hand actuated means that will be the "oh chit- handle" if he needs it to help slow down on the top end he will be able to grab the lever and apply some friction to help stop....as well as get bigger boost numbers holding at the line for the hitSo the pinion brake is hand actuated, and only for staging? :blahblah1: secret squirrel steel. That’s all I’m seeing from you.
It's a metal composition from Florida, so it probably has a little alligator in it somewhere. :hehe:

Yes, the pinion brake is separate and stand alone. He has good traditional brakes, slowing down is not a problem.
The hand brake/pinion brake has it's own master cylinder. It's a heavy duty drift brake.
As for the rotor, it is just regular plate steel. It wont see any heat to mention because staging is it's only purpose.
