A/C issues in 4wheel

I have a friend with an 02 and is telling me that when he puts the truck in 4wheel it sends the a/c into defrost. I've heard of this issue before but never had to deal with it myself. Anybody familiar with this problem?
 
Vacuum leak.

Check the vacuum lines leading to the front hubs.


Which reminds me.... I need to fix mine before winter hits. I like being lazy when the snow is out and not have to hop out and manually lock the hubs.
 
Thanks for the help. I didn't figure it was anything major. Fortunately for me I live in FL so no snow to worry about here but I hear ya on not having to get out of the truck when it's cold.
 
vacuum lines to the hubs or the seals behind the hubs.Look at the axle shaft where it goes into the hub/knuckle assembly. If theres a ring just dangling there the seals could be bad.
